When you think of iconic Seattle, images of the Space Needle, Pike Place Market, and the waterfront skyline may come to mind. But for a true Seattleite, it's Dick's Drive-In that stands out. Painting this landmark has been on my list for quite some time, and the original piece sold within minutes of posting it on Instagram.

Open Studio is happening Saturday, July 27th from 11am to 4pm during the upcoming Sunset Hill Walking Art Fair. If you have never been to an open studio event, they are not to be missed! Follow my signs from the corner of 29th Ave. nw and 80th st.

Our time in Granada was a blend of creativity, culture, new friends, language and inspiration. The Albaycin's charm and history provided the perfect backdrop for all our artistic and educational pursuits.

Here’s your plan for Saturday April 13 in Seattle!!!! Head to Georgetown, have brunch somewhere in Georgetown and then wander the breweries and check out the Makers Market. Bring friends, drink beer and find cool stuff made by local artists.

Hello friends! As we embark on this new year, One of my goals for 2024 is to take part in more pop-up events throughout Seattle, and I'm thrilled to kickstart the year with the upcoming Ballard Makers Market and Bar Hop on March 2nd, from 1-6 PM at Urban Family Brewing Co.

Finally, after years of anticipation, I found myself strolling through the charming streets of Lisbon and Porto, armed with a camera and my trusty small watercolors. Seven weeks in Portugal, and the main thing on my agenda? Paint the doors, windows, wrought iron, and those iconic azulejos.

Just a week left to check out this exhibition at the Office of Arts and Culture located on the 3rd floor of King Street Station, 303 S. Jackson Street, Seattle. I am so thrilled to have my work included in this show!

As an artist, I am constantly exploring new themes and subjects in my work. My current series is focused on the dive bars of the Ballard and Phinney Ridge/Wallingford neighborhoods, and I am using watercolor to create small, realistic paintings of these beloved local establishments.

“Isolated” New Paintings by Ameen Dhillon, was on view for the month of June 2022 at New Leaf Editions and Gallery on Granville Island, in Vancouver BC.

I spent some time last month playing in the studio with my growing collection of silk fabrics. Bits and pieces of fabric purchased, found, gifted and handed down to me because maybe I could do something with them. Some have been with me for over 30 years, waiting patiently in a trunk. Memories of travels to India or just the Punjabi Market in Vancouver, back in the 80’s and 90’s, when it was thriving on those few blocks at Main and 49th.

Growing up in Vancouver BC, I would often visit Seattle with my Canon AE1 program in hand, wander around Pioneer Square, Downtown, Pikes Place and the U-District. Taking pictures and visiting galleries. So many favorites are gone.

I didn’t know then that Seattle would be my forever home and I would still wander the streets with my android phone/camera in hand. A few favorites are still around, but I’m not sure for how long…

I am super excited to have been selected as one of this years participating artists.

The Sunset Hill Walking Art Fair 2021 is a wrap. A huge thank you to the organizers and especially to everyone that turned out to make it such a success. We thoroughly enjoyed having a backyard and studio buzzing with activity and are already looking forward to next year.
