"Portuguese Doors and Tiles: A Watercolor Adventure in Lisbon and Porto"

Finally, after years of anticipation, I found myself strolling through the charming streets of Lisbon and Porto, armed with a camera and my trusty small watercolors. Seven weeks in Portugal, and the main thing on my agenda? Paint the doors, windows, wrought iron, and those iconic azulejos.

Every corner seemed like a snapshot waiting to happen. The worn doors, the intricate tiles, the rusted wrought iron – it was a visual feast. My camera clicked away, capturing moments I couldn't wait to bring to life with my watercolors.

Now back in my studio, surrounded by thousands of photos, the excitement is real. Each stroke of the brush feels like a reunion with the memories of my trip. The doors, with their weathered charm, and the vibrant tiles that adorned the streets are now taking shape on my small watercolor creations.

It's funny how something as simple as a door can become a piece of art, a portal to the past. And those azulejos, they're not just tiles; they're the heartbeats of Portugal.

This journey was more than a vacation; it was a dream fulfilled. So here's to Portugal, the place I've been yearning to visit for years. And here's to the doors and tiles that have become the stars of my small watercolor explorations. I'm excited to continue painting from all my photos, continuing to relive the time we had in Portugal. Can't wait to share the magic! 🎨🚪✨
